Gail Campbell
Originally from Georgia, Gail moved to Chattanooga 10 years ago and enjoys the city so much she considers it her forever home. While she spent her career in various roles within higher education, Gail always had a passion for individuals in need. When she had the opportunity to take early retirement in 2021, she jumped at the opportunity to spend more time with her family and volunteer with a variety of organizations.
Gail was introduced to Downside Up when she was in search of an inclusive and welcoming summer camp for her son , who has Autism and ADHD. She immediately fell in love with the mission of the organization and knew she wanted to be a part of it! She now works part time at Downside Up, serving in the background as the operations nerd.
Gail and her family love the outdoors and spend most of their time together in nature hiking, biking, walking, or playing at the lake. Her son is their inspiration to continuously support and serve kids with special needs and their families within the community.
